Cheli Nye, Executive Secretary

Cheli became a part of the JLLB in 2009, prompted by a colleague’s suggestion – a decision for which she remains profoundly grateful.  Over the years, Cheli has embarked on a diverse range of experiences, connecting with remarkable women, and amassing invaluable skills during her tenure.

Her journey is that of an impassioned educator who started as a math teacher, subsequently ascending to the role of school principal.  Cheli expanded her learning by earning a doctorate in education from USC but remains a devoted Michigan State fan and proud alumni.  Presently, Cheli contributes to the educational landscape at the LA County Office of Education, committed to ensuring students receive the best education possible while bolstering the efforts of local schools.

Despite residing in the LA Area for over two decades, Cheli’s exploration of all the city has to offer continues.  Her enthusiasm for this endeavor is heightened when shared with friends and family.  In her free time, Cheli is usually engrossed in a good book, skillfully crocheting, perfecting her craft cocktail talents, or embracing the invigoration of a workout session.
