Christine Manvi, Sustaining Advisor

Christine is a long-time Long Beach resident and community volunteer. She was born in Brazil and has
family in Argentina, England, and India. She is a 28 year member and Past President of The Junior League
of Long Beach. It is an organization she passionately supports for the leadership opportunities and
community building it provides to women of all backgrounds. This is her second time serving as
Sustaining Advisor to the Board of Directors.

Christine has many years of work experience in the nonprofit sector and locally worked at The
Nonprofit Partnership (formerly The Long Beach Nonprofit Partnership); a management support
organization for the area nonprofits. There she was charged with outreach and development of
meaningful programs and services for the organization’s nonprofit constituents as well as developing
collaborations between the Partnership and other community organizations.

Christine has her MA in Public Relations from the Annenberg School of Communications at the
University of Southern California and her undergraduate degree from the University of California, Santa
Barbara in Art History and Film History/Criticism. When not volunteering Christine can be found on a
plane, a museum or in a theater; usually in the company of her husband, Dr. Krishna Manvi, a Long
Beach cardiologist.
