Samantha Aviles, Community Vice President

Samantha is a people-centered leader, HR executive, and advocate for literacy, arts and culture, and community wellness. She believes in the transformative power of creativity, storytelling, and gameplay to foster connection, belonging, and meaningful community engagement.

As a member of Leadership Long Beach Institute, Class of 2026, Samantha is committed to creating sustainable impact through civic engagement, strategic partnerships, and collective learning. She began her journey with the Junior League of Long Beach (JLLB) in 2023, which provided her with the opportunity to volunteer for the 4GIRLS Empowerment Conference. The experience strengthened her dedication to empowering girls and women through confidence-building, resilience, and authentic leadership. Inspired by the conference theme, “Limitless,” Samantha has embraced the word as both a personal mantra and leadership philosophy.

She holds a bachelor’s degree in Art with a minor in Psychology from The City College of New York and a master’s degree in Human Resources Management & Development from New York University. Samantha lives in Long Beach’s District One with her husband and their two rescue dogs. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, crafting, and playing mahjong.
