Ashley Strickland, Nominating

Ashley has been an active member of the Junior League of Long Beach since 2022. She discovered the League during the COVID-19 pandemic while searching for a meaningful way to connect with and give back to her local community. A Long Beach resident for nearly two decades, Ashley has built deep roots in the city she proudly calls home and is particularly drawn to the diversity and culture that make it such a vibrant place to live.

Since joining, Ashley has served as Board Assistant, Membership Vice President, and Chair of the Kids in the Kitchen Committee, in addition to contributing to several other committees. She is passionate about programs that create real, lasting impact and values the opportunity to serve alongside a community of committed women leaders.

Ashley holds a Bachelor of Science in Criminology and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of West Georgia. She has served as a Criminal Investigator for the Federal Government since 2006 and currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Federal Law Enforcement Officers Association.

Her commitment to service extends across both her professional and volunteer life. She is deeply invested in community-driven work that uplifts individuals and strengthens the places where people live, work, and grow.

Outside of work and the League, Ashley can be found exploring National Parks — having visited 33 and counting — or walking the beach in search of sea glass.
