What year did you join the JLLB? How many years is that?  I joined in 2020, right before everything went crazy!  I can’t believe that it has been TWO YEARS!

Where did you go to school and what degrees do you hold?  I got a degree in Theatre Arts and went on to study classical theatre at a conservatory in Los Angeles before more recently going on to get a bonus Associates degree in Accounting. (My journey has been sort of unique as far as schooling goes, so this bit isn’t terribly impressive sounding, lol)

What do you do outside the League as a job? Tell us all your jobs both professional and other places you volunteer. I run my own tax preparation business in Bixby Knolls, as well as travelling all over (before, and hoping to again) providing professional education to other tax professionals.  I sit on the Board of the California Society of Tax Consultants at both the state and local level.  

Which city did you grow up in and how’d you end up in Long Beach? I’m a Long Beach lifer!  Aside from a short break in LA for my acting training and just enough time going on auditions to learn that I didn’t have the stomach for the LA “industry,” I’ve lived either in or just outside of Long Beach since I was born!

Why did you join the JLLB? I had been looking for ways to connect with other women and also to be more involved in my community.  I’m so glad I found my way here!

What do you enjoy about membership in the JLLB? I love all the opportunities!  There is so much great training and so many options for getting involved. I have been so excited this year to be able to meet other members in real life and make connections with like-minded women.  

What are your hobbies / what do you like to do for fun? I love to read and am trying to motivate myself to write more.  I enjoy cooking, baking, sewing, and crafting.  I also love swing dancing!
