What year did you join the JLLB? How many years is that? I joined in 2016 when I was pregnant with my second son, so I’m going on my 4th year with JLLB

Where did you go to school and what degrees do you hold? I went to Cal State University, Long Beach and got a bachelor’s in Fashion Merchandising and Minor in Marketing.

What do you do outside the League as a job? Tell us all your jobs both professional and other places you volunteer. I keep myself busy outside of JLLB mommy-ing two young boys, volunteering at both of their schools, and running my plant-based catering business, Pure Salivation.

What city did you grow up and how’d you end up in Long Beach? I was born in Long Beach, with deep familial multi-generational roots. I have so much love for this city that I’ve only left once for a few years to live in Venice, CA.

Why did you join the JLLB? I’d heard of JLLB and always wanted to make an impact in my community, but was unreliable with my previous career because of my travel schedule. When I stopped working when my oldest son was about a year old, the first opportunity I took was to join JLLB and haven’t looked back since!

What keeps you staying in the JLLB? I enjoy being impactful and part of something bigger. Knowing that I am helping make a change in my community keeps me engaged in JLLB and coming back eager to learn more.

What are your hobbies / what do you like to do for fun? Yoga, reading, cooking/eating

If you could have one superpower what would it be and why? Superspeed so I could get everything done…there aren’t enough hours in a day!
