Where did you go to school and what degrees do you hold? Proud alumni of California State University, Long Beach and Long Beach Polytechnic High School.  I have a Bachelors of Science degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Finance.
What do you do outside the League as a job? Tell us all your jobs both professional and other places you volunteer. I have worked in Healthcare for 18 years in analytics and operations.  Currently, I work for SCAN Health Plan as Director of Risk Adjustment Analytics an area focused on Medicare programs and payments.
What city did you grow up and how’d you end up in Long Beach? I grew up in Long Beach, CA, first in North LB then later in California Heights.  I left Long Beach to live in Houston, Tx, but returned to Long Beach after a short time away.
Why did you join the JLLB? I joined JLLB because of the community service opportunities.  I knew I wanted to give back to my city and work with children.
What do you enjoy about membership in the JLLB? When joining JLLB, I could never have imagined the amazing women I would meet and get to work with.  Through JLLB, I’ve made many good friends and have gained skills I’ve been able to use in other areas of my life.  I joined for the service opportunities, but stay for the experiences and friendships.
What are your hobbies / what do you like to do for fun? I love to travel for all the experiences and understanding of other cultures I gain.  I like to stay active with hiking, stand up paddle boarding, kayaking, & snowboarding.  When not out and about, I’m always looking for the next T.V. show to binge (I’ve been doing a lot more of this in quarantine lately).

Unique fun fact about you? I’ve been to seven other countries outside the U.S. my favorites were Thailand for the adventures I had and Italy for the connection to where my family ancestors come from and for the opportunity to meet more family.
Who do you consider your hero and why? My Mom is my hero.  She is a strong role model who raised four girls while working full time as nurse in the hospital.  She selflessly cares for all those around her and is the glue that keeps my family together. I am who I am because of her guidance and support.
