What year did you join the JLLB? How many years is that?

I joined in 2016.

Where did you go to school and what degrees do you hold?

I went to college in St. Paul, Minnesota.  Communications & Computer Science.

What do you do outside the League as a job?  Tell us all your jobs both professional and other places you volunteer.

I’m a Product Manager with UnitedHealth group in which I oversee an infusion Nursing platform application that is used nationwide.

Primary responsibilities of a product manager is deciding what products and software to build next and help manage research, design, testing and go to  market strategy. While there are many responsibilities of a PM, deciding what to build and in what order is the key function of a product manager.

I have also volunteered at the Pasadena Boys&Girls Club, Unitedhealth Children’s Foundation, LA Clippers food giveaway, Wonder Women Tech Conference & the Children’s Hispanic Development Center.

What city did you grow up and how’d you end up in Long Beach?

Grew up in Los Angeles, and I’ve been in LB for 5 years.

Why did you join the JLLB?

To participate in community programs to work with inner city kids and promote volunteerism.

What are your hobbies / what do you like to do for fun?

I like photography, playing golf, studying flamenco, visiting museums and traveling abroad.

Unique fun fact about you?

My first trip out of the country was to Spain in which I went solo to study flamenco in Sevilla.

What’s the first place you want to travel to when it’s safe to do so?

I like to travel back to Ecuador to explore more of this country.
