Leslie joined the Junior League of Long Beach in 2001, and served as the League president in 2005-06. In her active years in the JLLB, she chaired the PR/Marketing committee, Kids in the Kitchen, Nominating, Grants and Partnerships, and Fund Development, and served as the Membership Training Vice President.

A Sustainer since 2011, she continues to assist with Facilitation Training and loves to get together with other JLLB members. She is an independent marketing and public relations consultant in Long Beach, where she and her husband raised their two amazing daughters, and are enjoying the companionship of dog number three. In her free time she likes word puzzles, crafts, and traveling.
