What do you do outside the League as a job? Tell us all your jobs both professional and other places you volunteer.
I work in corporate compliance for Kaiser Permanente. I have been with Kaiser for 10 years. I also volunteer for a variety of organizations including being the co-leader for my daughter’s Girl Scout Troop and serving on the national council for my church.

What city did you grow up and how’d you end up in Long Beach?

I was born and raised in Southern California. I grew up in Cerritos where my parents still live. We love the Long Beach area because of its diversity and it gives us all the opportunities and accessibility of living in a big city while still having a small-town vibe.

Why did you join the JLLB?

I started working from home about 3 years ago,  and didn’t realize how much I would miss the day-to-day chatter of an office. I missed having in-person conversations with people, just stimulating my mind outside of work.  Being in the JLLB has given me access to amazing women who can serve as my role models, mentors, and most importantly, friends.

What keeps you staying in the JLLB? What I like to call #WhyiJLLB #ThisIsWhyIJuniorLeague.

One of the things I value about JLLB is that there are women from a variety of backgrounds, ages and experiences. This has allowed me to meet women and make friendships with people I may not have met otherwise.

What are your hobbies / what do you like to do for fun?
I love to read, watch anything related to Star Wars, and bake.

What is a unique fun fact about you?

I consider myself the world’s best UNO player.

If you could have one superpower what would it be and why?
I would love to read minds; it would make everything so much simpler since people often say one thing but mean another thing.
