This month’s member spotlight is Stephanie Anckle! She is celebrating her third year with the Junior League of Long Beach and is serving on the Grants and Stewardship Committee, and the Strategic Planning Committee. She is a proud Southern California resident who grew up in Venice, CA. On October 10, 2010, Stephanie moved to the Sutter neighborhood near Bixby Knolls.

In 2017, she earned her MA in Women’s Studies and a Ph.D. in Educational Sociology. She works as an educational researcher, teacher, and professor. Aside from the Junior League of Long Beach, Stephanie is involved in Sandpipers, a community organization in the South Bay. For fun, Stephanie enjoys yoga, surfing, and hiking. Lastly, she enjoys the theatre but avoids driving the traffic circle.
