This month’s member spotlight is Michelle Nguyen! She is celebrating her 2nd year with the Junior League of Long Beach and serving as a member of the Grants and Donor Stewardship Committee. She joined the league because she wanted to make a significant impact in her community and has a passion to help others.

Michelle grew up in Los Alamitos and moved to Long Beach after graduating from Cal State University Long Beach with a degree in Health Care Administration. She has worked in the healthcare field since 2013 and currently is the SCAN Health Plan Manager for Healthcare Operations. She has also volunteered for SCAN Health Plan’s Friendly Visitor Program providing companionship to isolated seniors.

Michelle grew up with three older brothers so she is very competitive and tough. She loves playing basketball and other sports. She can often be found at 24 Hour Fitness playing pick-up basketball games, mostly against men.
