This month’s member spotlight is Kathryn Esham! She is celebrating her second year with the Junior League of Long Beach and is serving as Chair of the Training Committee. Kathryn joined the League because she wanted to find a group of like-minded women working toward community support and improvement and the Junior League of Long Beach seemed like a perfect fit.

She grew up in Geneseo, NY and has a BS in Glass Engineering from Alfred University and a MS in Materials Science and Engineering from Ohio State. After graduation, she took a position with a company in Torrance, CA and on a recommendation from a co-worker, she settled in Long Beach.

Kathryn enjoys Kung Fu at a local studio in Westminster and has earned her brown-black belt and hopes to be a black belt in the next two years. To stay active she likes spinning, weightlifting, and running. She also enjoys baking, reading, and traveling. Between school and work, she’s lived in seven states (NY, IL, FL, OH, MD, VA, and CA) plus a few months in England!
